How to Repair a Hole in Fiberglass Tub Correctly
To repair a hole in fiberglass tub, you need to clean the area with detergent and free from any dirt. Let the tub dry well and you can continue to the next step. Sandpaper the hollow area including the surface surrounding the hole. You can use 100grit sandpaper. To fix a small hole you can use only epoxy and for bigger or wider hole, you can add the fiberglass cloth to make it much stronger. Use wet cloth to clean away the sand residue and make it dry well. Fill the hole with the fiberglass epoxy resin. Make sure that the hole is filled completely with the resin. You can use a tool such as a small stick to reach small area of the hole. The epoxy resin is white in color and usually you do not need to paint it again if you have white colored tub. However, if you have another color other than white, you can buy fiberglass paint to paint it.
